Introductory

Hello, and welcome to my blog! Or collection. Or archive. Regardless of whatever this site is, hello. 

Before I post any kind of works on this site, I'd like to introduce myself to you, internet user. It would be a little weird if I decided to randomly post a work without viewers knowing what kind of stuff I tend to put out for you all to see. Like, where's the trailer? Where's the intro? This post will serve as that kind of intro, so please don't fret.

I have multiple (internet) names, but the pseudonym I decided to use is Jupiter Ashmoon. It's one of my earlier names, and it sounds good, so I'm using it to identify myself. I identify as non-binary and use they/them pronouns, and I'd like it if you use them properly! I thank you in advance if you do. I'm a first year college student, and I study arts in communication. Very fitting and on brand for an amateur writer, right? That's crazy. 

So, why did I decide to open this kind of site? Because I realized that I wanted to share my works in a way that's easily accessible for people to look at. There's not a lot of platforms to do these kinds of things; if I could, I'd use something like Archive of our Own or other similar sites/apps/platforms or actually self-publish my works, but alas, I'm not adept with money yet and not fully independent. So here I am, posting my works for free. For the time being, anyway. I'm hoping that at least one or two of my works could be published out into the world, but for now, this is good enough. 

(And I also want to spill my ideas about future stories and other kinds of things. This will not be too professional. I just want to have fun lol.)

As I read and reread my stories, I keep on writing stories that involve romance, for some reason. I don't know why. Regardless of whatever genre I write, there would be romance or love hidden somewhere within the story. But don't worry, I'm not those cringey white woman writer that only writes romance and smut novels. I mean, I hope. I'm not a white woman (I am Filipino, thank you) but I am cringe, so I only hope that you can look at my works without seeing how pretentious or weird I am AHAHA

But in all seriousness, I just write pieces that show what kind of story I want to bring to life from the depths of my little pea brain. I have a sci-fi/cyberpunk WIP, at least three contemporary WIPs, and more that I don't know how to describe. I just have a lot of ideas for different stories, and I want to share them all! It doesn't really matter to me what genre I write, I want to try them all at some point. I want to be a versatile writer that is able to express a a variety of ideas while still maintaining a unique style that is easy to understand by the average reader, even with all the jargon I might put out for worldbuilding purposes. That's my goal. Kind of. But it's a good thing to move forward for, right? 

I hope that whatever I write, whatever I post, you will support me and eagerly await my future content. I'm thankful to you, the reader, even though this is the first post I'm making.
